Occupational Health & Safety

The Occupational Health & Safety online course aims to assist staff in the understanding of legislative requirements, management of hazards and process of dealing with emergency procedures.

First Aid

Participants in this course receive a WorkCover Approved Senior First Aid Certificate. This certificate enables the recipient to become a Work Place First Aider.

Defibrillator

Providers participants with a basic guide to using Automated External Defibrillators, which are provided in every Fitness First club to assist those in Cardiac arrest.

Club General Manager Business Induction

Club General Manager training offers both classroom and in club ‘hands on’ training across all departments of the business with feedback and support throughout.

Sales Management Training

Hands on training for sales team members to learn and grow into a management position within a sales team.

Powerful Presentations

A 2 day course that gives all attendees a practical and invaluable training into presenting confidently and clearly in their job roles.

Selecting talent (Recruitment)

This practical course provides Fitness First leaders with the skills to recruit and retain talented staff. It covers the internal and external recruitment processes, current market trends and top tips for interviewing.

Industrial Relations

This is an introduction to Industrial Relations that will benefit all our leaders regarding the best practice on handling employee performance and behavioural issues.

Leadership Development

Providing constructive feedback. Leaders learn skills to give constructive feedback in a way that builds openness & mutual respect & promotes problem solving & learning.

Developing Others. Leaders discover skills for developing others, helping them expand their capabilities so they will have the confidence to take on new challenges & work more independently.

Giving recognition. Leaders learn skills for recognizing & reinforcing the behaviours that support others & lead to the right results.

Role Specific Induction

Each position has a specialised training program to help all new team members establish themselves within their position. For example all new Membership Consultants are given a 6 week induction program including 1 week classroom training and 5 weeks in club training followed by additional classroom training at 6 weeks and 12 weeks.

Professional Sales Induction

The Professional Sales Induction Course offered by Fitness First Australia gives Membership Consultants (MC’s) a one week intensive class room based training course. At the end of the week all consultants are assessed to determine sales skills and knowledge competencies prior to starting in their sales role within the club.

The aim of the course is to provide our Membership Consultants with training in:

  • Business Prospecting
  • Customer Service
  • Membership Sales
  • Phone Skills
  • Health and Fitness Product knowledge
  • Club Orientation
